Boss Audio Systems 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280SL

Chris caught the debut appearance of  Boss Audio Systems' 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280SL. It's gorgeous, and that's before we even get to the audio stuff. A Boss Audio bigwig produced this car from his personal collection -- it is actually a car that started out its life as a convertible, not a Pagoda. Under the direction of designer  Hrach Baghoumian, mods include Axis 5-spoke 20" wheels, a cut-down windshield, top removal, headrest fairing (hard tonneau which houses pair of 13" monitors). The side glass is fixed, primarily to accommodate speakers and door solenoids, but one might have been able to make them retract without all the ICE wiring. The drivetrain is the stock 2.8L inline 6, but they might swap it out for a HEMI or an AMG -- probably the latter (we tend to agree). Audio equipment includes Boss' monitors and speakers. More photos after the jump.
