2017 Porsche Macan recalled for oversteer issues

An oversteering Macan actually sounds like a lot of fun.

The Basics: Porsche is recalling roughly 243 model year 2017 Macans due to the potential for oversteer in certain driving conditions. The affected models include the Macan, Macan S, Macan GTS, and Macan Turbo that were built between July 30th and August 9th 2016.

The Problem: On the affected vehicles, the front anti-roll bar could be fitted with defective connecting links, which could cause the connecting link bushings to move. The defective links can result in rattling noises and could cause the anti-roll bar to stop functioning during spirited driving. If the anti-roll bar were to stop functioning, handling would be impaired and could result in oversteer.

Injuries/Deaths: None reported.

The Fix: Porsche dealers will inspect and replace the defective anti-roll bar links for free.

If you own one: Porsche will notify customers shortly, but has not announced an official notification schedule yet.
