Grown-up Little Tikes Cozy Coupe is your inner five-year-old's street-legal dream

For many, the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe provided our first taste of the open road at a young age. It's been around for 30 years, with the Hudson, Ohio manufacturer even going so far as to declare it America's best-selling car. John Bitmead of Oxfordshire, England evidently wanted to relive his childhood a bit, so he created this excellent life-size, street-legal interpretation of the Cozy Coupe.

Alpheon eAssist comes to Korea, 22% cleaner than before

Daewoo has launched an eAssist version of the company's Alpheon model (LaCrosse here in the States) in Korea. The hybrid manages to deliver 25 percent better fuel economy than the standard gasoline model while reducing emissions by 22 percent. That's thanks to a small electric motor and lithium-ion battery battery pack that work in conjunction with a 2.4-liter direct-injection gasoline engine.

REPORT: GM ups its ante in GM Daewoo

GM Daewoo has four shareholders: GM, Korea Development Bank, Suzuki Motor Corporation, and Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation. When GM Daewoo put out a rights issue, only one of the four took the bite: GM, which made it rain to the tune of $412 million and raised its stake from 50.9% to 70.1%.

In what looks like a serious-but-probably-the-norm case of industrial espionage, General Motors' South Korean Daewoo division is reportedly alleging that the Russian automaker TagAZ has tried to copy its Lacetti sedan. Backing up those allegations are the arrests of two TagAZ engineers – former Daewoo employees who are said to have taken computer files from one company to the other. A third former Daewoo employee, an executive, left notes proclaiming his innocence and then committed suicid
